About Us

My name is Hank Smith. I am a retired teacher, musician, and the author of Sticks and Stones: A Father's Journey Into Autism, and A Fork Amongst the Spoons: Autism and Independence. Both books are about living with my son, Ian, who is on the autistic spectrum. In addition, Ian and I give presentations about autism to groups large and small . . . to parents, teachers, kids, or anyone who wants to hear our story.
